Not enough tensionFeb 18, 2012

Tried and tried to get the correct tension on the door closer, but could not get it better than almost latching. Directions are in 6 pt font, and not easy to understand. Disappointed.

I installed this at my house to prevent my kids getting their hands hurt in case they stick their fingers when door closing.
W/ this door closer, if you have the door wide open and let go, it closes fast at first, but it stops from closing all the way.
Due to the momentum, it swings wide open again, and closes a bit fast, but it stops from closing all the way again.
This repeats a couple times, and it eventually closes. watch this on youtube.
I ended up taking this out, and installing "TELL DC100081 Door closer". W/ this, the door closes very very smoothly from wide open.
So, I returned Wright V920WH Door Closer. I wouldn't buy "Wright V920WH Door Closer" type of door closer.

I ordered a pair of the Wright V920WH door closers to replace the two existing ones on my back door that were damaged by high winds one evening. I received the two new ones very quickly and had them installed in less than 5 minutes. These two news worked just like the ones that came with the door.
