Although the picture and the description both show this as a metal apple slicer, what actually arrived was a plastic one, the same type that I've bought (and had break) at the 99 cent store. Needless to say, I sent it back and am still without an apple slicer.

I purchased this stainless steel apple corer and received a cheap plastic version. I thought this was a mistake and returned it for a refund (I've had the plastic ones before and they eventually break). Reading the other review it looks like I wasn't the only one that received the cheap plastic version. Perhaps the vendor needs to double check their inventory.

I just got this slicer in the mail. It is not what is pictured. Instead it is white plastic that looks like it has been sitting in a failing hardware store collecting dust and getting dingy. I am hoping it will brighten up after I wash it. I am not too concern though, I bought it to have an extra slicer to keep at work. Not sure how it slices yet, but I assume it gets the job done.

I thought I was getting a metallic apple cutter but what I received was a plastic one. To top that, the company took 10 days just to send. Waste of time and money.
