5great productOct 01, 2008

This is an awesome product. The screw holes on an old cabinet door were completely stripped and I was prepared to fill the holes with wood dowels, wood glue, re-drill holes, etc. Then I saw this product and thought for $2.50 I would give it a try. I was a little skeptical, but this is the BEST INVENTION EVER. Within 5 minutes the door was back on. No dowels or glue necessary. Be sure to cut the strips really thin and cram in an many as you can. Great product!

5Absolutely perfect!Nov 17, 2007

Would give 6 if possible. I have figured it out that screws keeping window drapes holders are loose. After trying duct tape around screw, putting toothpick into the hole, using super-glue and such, I went to local hardware store trying to find something that would make it possible to install larger screws. I was expecting that I will spend rest of the day drilling holes, possibly without success. I found Mr. Grip. I was a bit sceptical - but just 5 minutes later problem was fixed!

This is really great, GREAT invention. Thanks, Woodmate!

5MR.GRIP really does work.Aug 30, 2010
By B. Davis
I have a bedroom door with screw holes that were too big for the screws. The hinge plates holes on the top and bottom separated from the door and the plate in the middle separated from the door frame. The door had never been hung properly and the constant use of the door over a thick carpet caused the screws to widen the holes. I tried using those plastic things for the holes but that did not work. I thought I would have to replace a perfectly good door until I found this product. I cut some strips as directed and placed them in the wood holes in the door and the holes in the door frame and screwed the screws in and it worked perfectly. It was as if there was never a problem with the screw holes. I put three cut strips (to fit in each hole) and the screws gripped as advertised. Just make sure you use all of the screws for all of the holes, the bottom plate is missing two of the three screws to my door so the one screw loosened some. Otherwise the top and middle plate are holding firm with the Mr. grip screw hole repair kit. I have a lot of the kit left over and I promise it really does work.

5Mr. Grip - a great product!Aug 26, 2011

Love these things, but, they are almost impossible to find in stores. Nothing I have ever tried in the past to repair stripped screw holes has performed anywhere near as well. Holds screws firmly in wood, plastic & metal. Secures and holds virtually anything that has to fit into a worn out or oversized hole. This is a must have for any DIY projects.

Used these to snug up the holes in a wobbly piece of studio furniture made from MDF. Use your shop scissors to cut, don't ruin your good paper pair.
