the valve works great. construction is a little flimsy but I looked at valves from local plumbing company and they were just as flimsy so guess that's the norm. price from amazon was 20% of local price. How can you argue with that?

These vents are substantially cheaper than others... for a reason. I just replaced one that split up the side. If you want a radiator air vent that will last longer, it's worth it to spend more for something else.

These vents do the job, and are a great value considering they're adjustable. They also seemed solid enough.

That said, they're loud (don't use in a bed room!) and don't have a very high capacity for venting air volume.

I'd only use these for small radiators that are close to the boiler.

I tried two types of valves to replace old valves on my radiators. The other type hissed loudly and sprayed lots of steam into the room. I cannot imagine it in a bedroom. So took that off and put this one one. Problem solved. It does release some air as they are designed to do but not to the extent of the other one. Oh and you can adjust it easily and there are instructions as to what setting would be appropriate for the radiator you are putting it on.

Stick with Maid O Mist (how can you deny them when the abbreviation is MoM?) if you want an inexpensive solution. This one began leaking within two months of installation. It also rattled like mad. I picked up a MoM and it has worked through the entire following season, in addition to the previous season that it replaced this subpar Watts unit.
