I bought this thermometer a month or two back. I should have paid closer attention to the description because I'm a bit disappointed with it. First, it's small, about six inches. Second, the usable portion of the scale---say, 20 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, is only two inches long. Instead of the usual red-dyed alcohol, these people chose blue, which I found to be distinctly harder to see. The glass portion was misaligned before being glued in place. You must stand well to the left, to read it. The woodwork is crude and looks like something a kid would make in wood-shop. There is no Celsius scale. Markings are painted on, and it looks almost homemade. The wood is hard but cheap feeling; it's the same wood used for wooden rulers.

At almost the same time, I also ordered a Timex 1001 thermometer. It's much nice looking with a clean white design. If Apple Computers made an iMac thermometer, it would look like this. Besides including both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales, it even comes with a mounting screw.

Note: Either one of these thermometers will swing in any kind of breeze, so some kind of secondary attachment, such as glue, will be necessary for outdoor use if you want them to remain steady on windy days. One bright point, both proved accurate.

THE GOOD:: I put it on my baby nursery wall. It's very straight-forward to read.

THE BAD:: It has a bit of blue liquid that has leaked into the bottom of the glass tube part. Makes it look like it may be broken but it works just fine.
