4Great stuff in a small canMay 13, 2009
By John Malcovitch
I'm not quite sure what readers would look for in a review of such a product, since it seems most would already be pretty far down the "doing their own thing" path once they're buying Glow in the Dark Rustoleum.

However, the paint is durable, glows very well, and is great fun in conjunction with black lights. Doesn't accidentally wear or rub off like some blacklight paints, but it does scrub off if enough effort is applied.

On some yellowish/beige hues, the paint is not visible at all in direct light (save the faint hazing that might be imparted with texture). My only gripe is that for the price, the can is a bit small and goes quickly.

I hope that can aid someone in what is sure to be a pretty sweet project.

1Not bright compared to higher-end brandsJul 20, 2011
By Daniel C. Clark
Once painted on a surface, this product is not very bright at all. It is based on an older chemical called Zinc Sulfide popular in the 1970's, which is about 5% as bright as newer glow in the dark paints. When I later compared it to a paint based on Strontium Aluminate from a company called Glow Inc, there was a vast difference in brightness. There are many website's which confirm the brightness difference. There is even a forum dedicated to users of glow in the dark paint.

4NEED UV LIGHTMar 07, 2009
By Azotus
This product charges and glows well, but there's a catch: glow-in-the-dark products need UV light to charge well, so regular bedroom lighting is out. However, with a blacklight, you can charge these quickly, and they'll react under blacklight too. Otherwise, okay paint, I'm not expecting the highest quality interior stuff here, but it could be better.

4Immediately GlowsDec 02, 2010
By L. Taylor "monkeymom"
I'll admit, we don't have it on the wall yet, but it's glowing right out of the can. Before surprising my 6 yr old with something on his wall, we decided to test it first (due to the reviews on here).

We opened the can, stuck several fingers in the can, held the fingers up to bedroom light for maybe 20 seconds (normal 100 watt light bulb), moved into the dark bathroom, and there's green glow on the finger tips. So, the paint does glow.

I'm sure it would take a few coats of paint on the wall to get it to be a really great glow, but what wall paint is perfect with only one coat of paint? We'll be doing the chalk board paint as well and that will take 3 coats of paint to get it right.

3Weak glow but best price for glow in the dark paintMar 08, 2010
By Chris A. Mahar
Weak glow when charged up by normal bedroom lights. Responds to blacklight or a purple laser very well. Perhaps adding glow in the dark powder would make the glow stronger. That's what I'm going to try next.

Still this is the best price for glow paint I could find anywhere. The stuff is absurdly expensive.
