I bought what the market supplied. I was looking for a replacement to a previous rubbermaid 5 cup container for lunches. It's taller that the previous unit but not as big to allow hot dogs or subs without have to cut them shorter or take a bite out of them to make them fit. O well, rubber maid just can not make a replacement to what they had earlier. As for shipping / delivery. All is good.

These 5-cup microwave/freezer containers are the perfect size for storing homemade ice cream from my Cuisinart ICE-21 Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker, which is a 1-1/2 quart ice cream maker. (An entire 6-cup batch never makes it as far as the freezer!)

When not in use, these containers require a minimum amount of kitchen shelf space: the bowls nest, the lids snap together, and the stack of lids snaps onto the bottom of the stack of bowls. If you like this excellent space-saving feature, be sure to buy enough to meet your present and future container needs! After years of buying Rubbermaid products, I know that the company will sooner or later redesign these particular containers, and that the redesigned lids and bowls will be just enough different so as to be completely incompatible with the previous ones.

These food containers are well-made, manufactured from quality materials, and have a tight seal. They are also dishwasher safe. With a little extra effort, one-handed cooks can open them; also one-handed cooks will appreciate the square shape that makes them easy to grip with a Kitchen Workstation's bottle-and-bowl clamp.

I bought these before Christmas last year because I was tired of having a zillion flimsy containers falling out of my cupboard! After receiving them, I ordered two more boxes...one more for me and one as a Xmas gift for my ma-in-law (she loves them, too!) I use them for leftovers in the fridge, but, I also bought several of the 5-cup size to keep my gluten-free flour fresh. A 5-cup container holds one 22-24 ounce bag of the rice, sorghum, or bean flours, etc. that I use to create my gluten-free recipes. The tops snap tightly, but, come off with ease when I'm ready to scoop out some flour! They stack well in the cupboard, too...whether empty or as storage containers. I use the 7-cup to keep brown sugar fresh. The little ones are great for condiments in lunch boxes or to keep spice mixtures (ie: cinnamon and sugar, etc. for coating cookies). So far, they haven't stained - even with tomato sauce. AND, they seem to hold their own in the dishwasher, too!

After dealing with all kinds of mixed up sets of tupperware, gladware, zipware, etc.. I decided to clean house (trip to Goodwill) and and buy all new plastic storage. As an "asian food nut" I have dozens of different ingredients in my fridge and freezer. Most of which require excellent storage as they are expensive, imported and/or have a short shelf life.

I chose these for a few reasons. 1) Most of the lids fits many different bases. 2) The lids lock together and then lock into the bottom of the containers making for smart storage. 3) the Plastic is very heavy yet pliable promising many years of service.

I've had no negative issues with them for months now.
