This tool is nicely finished and fits comfortably into the palm of your hand. As others have written, I had more success using it to drive small nails/brads into softwood than I did into hardwood. A shame because in smaller scale projects where your material is nice hardwood you would like to be able to place small brads with some precision.

This tool is useless. One; it required way too much preassure to set a brad in the thin rope moulding I was using. I was concerned about employing an air tool as it seemed I would be likely to split this moulding. With all that force the small driver in the circular brass housing froze up in the extended position and the thing is now an inadequate paperweight on my worktable.

It works as long as you use small nails. The opening for inserting nail is about 1/8". So head of the nail needs to be 1/8" or less in diameter. You can drive nails to hung pictures on a wall comfortably, quietly and safely.
