My husband was asking for these "steak plates" months before Father's Day. They lived up to all his expectations. Especially keeping his BBQd steaks nice and hot.

Super fast delivery, The item was not as heavy as I the platters I had so was a little concerned as to whether they would work in the broiler. But-they did! I use them so often.

I grew up with my mom cooking steaks on plates like these and wanted to get some for my own home. At first I was disappointed at how thin the metal was, but after using them for a year, I love that feature. My elderly mother-in-law (who lives with us)has difficulty lifting heavy pans and she cooks with these plates twice a day. We actually cook salmon and other fishes with these more than steak. I agree with the other reviewers that it is hard to fit a large steak on these smaller sized skillets, but as long as I avoid porterhouses, I can usually make it work. I definitely recommend purchasing these cooking plates.

So far, the plates have been relatively easy to use and clean. The cleanup was a concern but so far ,no problem. One tip- do not spray the plates with any grease products and then put in the oven- that discolors the metal and make it impossible to clean and return to the original shiny finish.
