My 12-year-old nephew scratched up our floors with a riding toy he was too heavy for. The floors are 80 years old and were pretty worn already. I ordered one bottle of the low gloss finish and tried it on the dining room floor and I'm ordering more right now. It is amazing! The scratches are completely invisible now and the floor has a nice burnished glow. It really is easy. I used my Swiffer Wet Jet and a Swiffer pad. It went on really well, doesn't smell much at all and dried fast. It really did fix my floor in an afternoon. (I never write reviews).

I have oak floors that were showing signs of wear after about 5 years. They were not pre-finished and the original coating wasn't enough to last with even light wear. I put this on my stairs first and noticed that while they stairs looked much better, they didn't improve the underlying scratches. Also, if you have wear points in the grain of one slat but not off it, that also didn't improve much.

Take 2: I then used the Old English® Furniture Polish: Scratch Cover for Light Wood 8 OZ first. After cleaning, putting on the scratch cover, buffing with a cloth, and then waiting a bit to ensure it was completely dry; I was ready to apply the hardwood floor reviver. So, one more cleaning job with a mild cleaner and then just apply it. I have to say that this stuff goes on beautifully with the right applicator. I spent more time cleaning the floor than applying it. That said, my floor now looks much better. Not all the scratches are gone. If I get right next to it, I can still see the scratches. However, my floor no longer looks weathered and from standing or seating point of view, they look like new. Three cheers for this versus a complete sand and refinish.

I plan on applying it again in about a year just to prevent additional scratches caused by everyday wear and tear.

I had difficulty finding the low gloss product in my local home stores. I was thrilled to find it online. My floors are now almost 20 years old and the reviver makes them look great. This will extend the amount of time until we will need to have the floors refinished.

If you want 3 days of shine this is for you. I paid $900 to have the product removed from my hardwood floor. The finish it leaves is soft and scratches easily. First time i vacuumed the floor was full of surface scratches.
