I bought the magnet to test rocks to see if they are magnetic.

It is probably my fault for not looking at the measurement,
but wow, I looked at the picture and it looked decent size,
when it arrived I saw how tiny it was, and it is SO small.

This is a great magnet. It is small and I was prepared for that only from the reviews. It is strong though, strong enough that it takes some maneuvering to get objects off of it sometimes. Perfect for my sons science experiments.

I have owned many magnets in my lifetime. This is a disappointment. You have to practically be on top of the item you are trying to pick up. I would not buy it again.
