I recently moved to a house with all hardwood flooring on the first floor- living room, dining room, even kitchen. I had never really thought about it but most of my furniture has casters on the legs- even a few ottomans and a kitchen island. After an unfortunate scratching incident, I started looking for a solution. I ordered 4 sets of these cups and they seem to be working well. I use one ottoman as a coffee table, with a tray on top, so gets pushed/moved around frequently. It still slides across the floor even with the caster cups, though perhaps a little less easily than before. However, no scratching (thus far)! The other pieces of furniture remain pretty stationary but also aren't marking up the floor. I'm not crazy about the look and obviously the furniture looked better without the cups but they do the job. I thought the clear plastic wouldn't be so noticeable on the dark floors but it is... considering spray painting them a dark brown at some point... but it's a minor complaint overall.

I was looking for casters to protect my new stained concrete floors (notorious for scratching easily). These casters leave no marks on my wood floor, but they leave scratches on the polished stained concrete ones. I added felt to the bottom of the casters and they do well on the concrete now.
