5Goo Gone is my #1 Household Cleaner UpperJun 18, 2007

I almost died when I went to my local office supply store and saw that they no longer carried Goo Gone. I was thrilled to see it available on Amazon. Goo Gone is great for cleaning up sticky stuff - chewing gum, any tape residue, stickers off anything you bought (like frames, glass, books, etc.); shoe polish, crayon, gum, you name it Goo Gone gently cleans it off. I always buy two bottles and give one to my local Post Office so they can clean their scissors of the packing tape residue. I use it on all my crafting scissors, and to get price tags and stickers off every surface imagineable. I love that it has a nice citrus smell and works every time I use it. This is a great product. I highly recommend it.

If your questioning if it's the real Goo Gone, it is. The bottle I received is the clear one- see uploaded picture. Goo Gone works great. TIP: for extra stucky stuff, spray the area, then cover it with a small paper towel just big enough to cover the area. That keeps the Gone Gone in place and not run off. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

Goo Gone works exactly as you would expect from the name. It dissolves sticky residues from adhesives and allows them to be wiped away easily. One thing I used it for was to help remove the "security" stickers from the cases of my CD and DVD collection when the adhesive didn't fully come off with the sticker.

The trick to using this stuff is to let it soak in for about 30 seconds to a minute. Once you've done that, the adhesive residue will usually wipe right away. Then scrub lightly with a clean, damp cloth to remove the Goo Gone and any adhesive that has dissolved into it.

You don't need to use much Goo Gone for it to be effective; a few drops will usually be plenty for a smaller sticker. I bought a small bottle of it about five years ago and it's still over three-fourths full even though it's the first thing I turn to whenever I have something sticky to clean up around the house.

This product works great! I use it mainly for removing annoying sticky spots. I have used it on anything from car windows to removing stickers on a laptop. The best thing about it is it has a citrus smell and doesn't feel or smell as harsh as other removal products. The key to using this product is to leave it on the sticky area for 3 minutes before removing it. Also a little can go a long way. I will put a drop on the sticky surface and then rub it around to cover the entire area and it works greats. This bottle will last me a long time. Great value!

***It`s not meant to be a traditional stain remover*** Buy this I mean it will get sticky stuff off/out of you're cloths but it's not going to get out red wine, iodine any of that crap they show on TV. And we all know once a stain set's up and dries IT'S NOT coming out without elbow grease...

Also check out the little spray bottles, great "grab and use" for the kitchen.

Unless you really really use the stuff, one of those bottles will last a long long long long time.

GOO GONE is a pleasant smelling (it actually smells like oranges), multiple use "sticky stuff" remover. It's basically lighter fluid without the bad smell and high flammability with a better salinity (doesn't dry up fast in this case). During summer when I'm keeping the sprigs on the trees neat and trimmed I use the stuff to clean off blades and handles. I use for all my trimming tools for the garden too, it's really breaks up thick dry sticky residue and removes it (a rosemary bush is a really good example of something that will gunk up cutters). I've used it many times to get that fresh tacky tree sap you get with pines off my cloths, (non-leather) gloves and hands.

If their is some sticky gunky crap on something and lighter fluid would be way to harsh and bad smelling I use this stuff.
