5a time-saver and also a good way to save money on drill bitsMay 17, 2012

The product works as advertised: you put the keyless chuck in your drill and slip a standard old-school (non-hex-shank) bit in place and tighten it up; drill your holes and then simply pop the driver attachment on, without removing the drill bit (the bit fits inside the driver shaft). The driver attachment locks in place with a quick twist. The magnetic tip holds the driver bit in place very strongly. A nice time-saver, true, but there's also a way to save some money $$$ using this thing. I don't know about you, but I'm seeing lots of really great deals on the old-school non-hex-shank bits in the retail stores but also online and at yard sales. Many of these old-school drill bits are of very high quality steel and yet you can pick them up for a song because the hex shanks are so convenient they're what everybody is buying nowadays for their portable drills. But with this Lyropa gadget, you get the best of both worlds--the old school high quality drill bits at a lower cost and the quick pop-on/pop-off convenience of a hex-shank.
