You can split your keys easily, especially when you bring your car to the mechanic and don't want to leave your housekeys, etc. I got one for hubby and he liked it so much I got them for stocking stuffers last Xmas. Since then, I've received a number of calls asking where they can get moreLucky Line 71501 Pull-Apart Key Ring for friends ... it's a GREAT item for those with lots of keys!

I purchased this separating key ring as a stocking stuffer for my mom. After reading the reviews about how stiff it was and hard to separate, I opened the package and tried it out. Yes, it is VERY tough to pull apart at first. I spent a lot of time just separating it and putting it back together to make it easier once given to my mom. Ultimately, she was able to pull it apart and snap it back together with only a modicum of effort (my mom has arthritis in her hands). So the product is better than some that I've seen advertised, but if you don't want to put in the work to loosen it, you may want to buy something else.

This was the first key ring I came across that had three separate rings, and that was exactly what I needed.

For three glorious weeks, my Lucky Line 71501 key ring went on daily adventures from my house to my office, and back again. We visited gas stations. We met a valet person. A few trips to the in-laws, and maybe a jaunt to the drug store. Salad days, I tell you.

Until that fateful afternoon. My shiny Subaru key came off, but would not go back on. The ball bearing that retains the end clips had fallen out along our travels. And with that, "Lucky" was dead to me.

I try to reflect on the good old days, but I also have this nagging feeling that Lucky was made of silver-painted plastic. Though, that could just be the "bargaining" step of my grief process.

This is a very handy and nice keychain. I got 3 of them. It allows us to keep different types of keys in each ring such as mailbox key in one and car key in another - allows you to check mails without having to stop the car for drive through mailboxes. Highly recommended.

I bought this to keep my house keys and car keys at the same place so they wouldn't get lost. I find it works good but it's a little hard to take apart when you have your keys in the ignition and need to take the others out. When i bought this i thought it had some kind of release mechanism. Overall it's a great buy for the price.
