We found we could not find these light bulbs anywhere in town. We went to Lowe's and Home Depot as well as some independent hardware stores. Found them here at Amazon, ordered them and they came pretty fast. So nice to know we didn't have to replace our light fixtures and were able to get our bulbs.

*****NOTE ***** These does NOT have a ballast in it, and is made ONLY for Lights of America units that has he built in ballast. they are NOT for use in 120 outlets!

The first one (original bulb) lasted 4 years! through rain -10F winter and 90+F summers!

Two bulbs get power, the other two are connected via the glass so they get a transference of current and that makes them glow. (What I noticed is that I guess the two non-powered bulbs may have went out first, but it is so bright I didn't notice it until I put the new one in) Listen.. I don't know HOW they work.. they just DO.. for a LONG BRIGHT time!

We tried to buy these bulbs all over our city and no one had them. I looked on Amazon just to see if they might have them. Guess what, They did so we ordered two so we would have one spare. They came within a week. Great job Amazon.
We will be back again to shop.

Was unable to find this bulb locally in stock. Received this fragile item, promptly and in good condition, in far less time then by local special order, and for a lower price.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. A diode is composed of silicon
using the same technology as integrated circuits. As you have seen
for decades, LEDs use to these red dots. Newer technology first bought us blue LEDs. That is why all the laptop computers, a few years ago, were over embellished with the new blue LEDs.
The newest technology has finally brought us white LEDs. These white LEDs can finally be used as normal lighting. Recently we have seen LED light bulbs for lamps, which are still quite expensive. LG: 2 Pack LED Lighting Innovator A19 Bulbs - Uses 7.5W
LEDs consume very little power when compared to other forms of lighting.
This is why they can be sold next to the government mandated
compact fluorescent bulbs. Sylvania 29490 23-Watt CFL Mini Twist Light Bulb, Soft White, 6 pack Since compact fluorescent bulb contain mercury, they are dangerous if broken (the only danger an old fashioned bulb produced was glass shards.) Mercury is dangerous to all but especially to children (perhaps the most likely entity to knock over a lamp and then breath the vapor and touch the shards.) My friends and I have a joke about if one breaks a compact fluorescent bulb you should call the hazmat team to clean it up. So, if I may make a suggestion, buy the LED bulb, do not buy the compact fluorescent bulbs.
