I live in muggy, humid Florida and I'm delighted to report this style of salt shaker really does keep the salt from turning to concrete. Mine are still working after 30 years. I buy them now as gifts to my "snowbird" friends. And even with shipping, how could you beat this price? They have been around for many years but are getting harder to find as more people choose "decor" over usefulness. Personally, I like the sleek look of them, too. P.S. the sleekness also makes them easy to clean.

These are very nice shakers at a really nice price.
But I'm a smidge disappointed. They're smaller than 'normal' shakers. They're 3" high and just over 1.5" across at their widest. Not tiny, just not normal. FYI, 2oz = 1/4 cup.
Only the salt shaker has the 'stay-dry' feature.

I have used these shakers for many years. Unfortunatley, I got the top part of the salt shaker wet, which ruined the part that keeps the salt "dry". I looked all over for a replacement set and finally found them on Amazon. I like them because of their small size and the fact that they are clear. I only hestitated to order them due to the shipping being almost as much as the cost of them. It was worth it though. Most of the salt and pepper shakers are there as so big, and I really didn't want ceramic. Kudos to the dry one. The salt rarely cakes and I always know how much is left.

Nice little shakers, with glass bottoms and plastic tops that do not take up a lot of space. The pepper shaker runs fast, so I removed the cover and from the inside I filled up four of the six holes with rubber cement, which can be removed if needed. Plastic model cement would be a permanent solution, but it might dissolve the plastic and mar the surface. Silicone glue would be a semi-permanent solution that could be removed carefully but with difficulty from the inside to avoid marring the outside surface.Lifetime Hoan 7402 The Dry One Salt And Pepper UPDATE NOTE: These shakers are exquisitely beautiful, but hard to hold onto and not very practical, -much like Audrey Hepburn in her early movies. They are okay for the breakfast table when your hands are dry, but too smooth and slippery for the dinner table when your hands may be wet or greasy from buttered corn-on-the-cob, fried chicken, BBQ, lobster, etc. These shakers need horizontal ribs or some other design molded into the glass to provide some grip. An owner fix might be bathtub floor traction tape or stickers, or if you are good at arts and crafts, -a stencil and a tube of glass etching fluid.

Is this ever great for a salt shaker that doesn't clog in the summer, and the pepper shaker makes it a set.
