I looked all over for a product to remove hard to get out tacks, staples and nails. This product was exactly like I wanted and made removing staples out of carpet padding easy. The fact that it is inexpensive and made in the U.S. is a bonus. I also received my order quickly.

Bought this to remove the plastic rivets that hold parts of my Honda together. This works pretty well at removing them without destroying them, so they can be reused.

I looked at many of my local hardware stores in search for a "tack puller" or "staple remover" and came up empty. Couldn't find one with a narrow enough head for the small staples I needed to remove on a kids recliner project. I thought maybe just a screwdriver might work well enough to remove the staples. When this tack puller arrived, I was amazed how much easier this item was to use to remove those staples. Amazing! Made the job so much easier and quicker. Completely recommend getting this item if you are looking to reupholster anything. :D

Bought this thinking it would speed up a project of mine with about a thousand staples to remove. This is actually less efficient than the flathead screwdriver I had previously been using to remove the staples.

This was purchased after much research on upholstering and associated tools as I was preparing to do a D-I-Y on my damaged sofa. This tack puller made the job so much easier since I tried to reupholster my ottoman prior to this purchase and wound up sending it to a professional because I could not get out some of the tacks and staples - needless to say I paid a great deal for the service. Because of my research, I had also purchased the double-ended mallet which further assisted the removal for those staples that were more deeply embedded. I just used the corner if the tip and gently struck the end with the mallet and it was pried out. Those times when only one end came out, I had to use a set of pliers but I did achieve the desired end result.

It feels very sturdy and comfortable, handles like a regular screwdriver but does the job surprisingly well, without having to apply too much force. The tip also held out on those really difficult staples without any dent and barely any scratches. It is my first day of use but I was pretty impressed for the price I paid but I don't expect much change with continuous use though.
