5Limited Sight Readable Clock !!! - 2 1/2 " Digits Is The Largest Available In Standard ClockMar 08, 2007
By F. A. Rhine Morgan III
Clock design with tiltable display allows adjustment for best viewing angle combined with 2 1/2 " time display numbers (largest available in a standard alarm clock) makes the clock easily readable for those suffering from limited sight as well as the nearsighted while in bed who want to check the time without having to put on eyeglasses.

5great sizeDec 21, 2006
By true crime reader
this clock is just perfect for someone that cannot see without their glasses on. When I woke up in the morning I couldn't even see my clock let alone what time it was. This clock is big numbers & perfect.

5Mom loves it!Mar 16, 2007
By Phyllis Herring
I bought this clock for my mother who is now 84 and coping with macular degeneration. She loves it and says it's easy to see.

Autumn 2010: Mom had to go into a nursing home last year, alas, but the clock still continues to function as it should. Still a good buy here.

4Will light the room even when turned on lowMay 04, 2009
By Jonathan A. Allan
I bought this to replace a 0.75" display clock radio I couldn't read at 4 inches from my face. While I don't miss the radio much, I **LOVE** the size of the numbers. I can read them from across the king size bed if I squint just a little. With my glasses on, I can read them accurately across the house (40'). They are huge and bright - score! 8-)

The down sides are:
o The display is BRIGHT, even on the dim setting. It will light up the room at night with a red glow.
o The clock is very light-weight. Either mount it on the wall or install some rubber stick-on feet (have to buy these separate). Trying to push the buttons without feet on will result in you pushing the clock around instead. This is "fun" while the alarm is waking up your late-to-bed spouse and a glass of water is also on the nightstand. ;-) Minus one star for this.
o If using as a desk clock, push the display forward until it clicks, otherwise it won't stay upright. The instructions don't mention this.
o Don't try to change the upright/flat setting all the time. Pick one and stick with it. If you keep it upright as a desk clock, lay the clock on its back at night if the light bugs you. Don't be pushing the display up and down. The way it's constructed, it'll break pretty fast.
o Mine is keeping rock-solid time after a month of service. The other posts complaining about time must have defective copies.
o The battery backup works as described: saves the time, but doesn't display it.

Ways to make it better:
o Include 6 rubber feet (Come on guys, how much would these have added to the final price - $0.05 or less?)
o Put a 6+oz metal lug in the bottom to give it enough weight to withstand a button push (turn off the alarm, not just snooze!)
o If the power is off, make pushing the snooze button display the time for two seconds.

I could add the following as ways to make it better, but then it wouldn't be $22:
o 24 hour time option
o play alarm sound from an MP3 (load via USB memory stick)

Critiques aside, I'm loving it. And did I mention it's big and bright?

2Not An Accurate TimekeeperNov 24, 2007
By G. Harris
The clock runs very fast, gaining about a minute every day or so. To keep it accurate to the minute, it needs to be reset about every third day or so.
