I am writing this review to counter its current 1-star rating (from a review based solely on a marketplace SELLER and not the actual product).

This product is what it is ~ a replacement wick for some Bemis and Essick humidifiers. We bought this for our Bemis ED11-800 and our Bemis 4D7-800 and it works great. No white dusts. We had tried cheaper replacement wicks and they just didn't work as well.

Amazon definitely had the best price at the time we got these at under $13 shipping included PLUS a 4 for the price of 3 promo.

These wicks are used to draw water up to where air passing over them allows the water to be drawn into the air - hence the wicking. The main drawback to this whole thing is that the wick is also used as something of an air filter, so that it picks up every little particle of dust in the air. After a while, it becomes choked with dust (or cat hair, or bunny fur...) and requires replacement. I grow tired of replacing the wick all the time as if it were supposed to be an air filter. What I've done is to cut up an actual air filter and duct-tape it to the air inlet of my humidifier, and every so often (about once a month, maybe two) I replace *that* air filter. Leaving the wick to do the wicking!

What a deal - 4 for 3 and free shipping
These are the correct filters even though the pic is wrong
They work great - we've had the unit for 5 years now and the filters are a steal.
I stocked up by purchasing them in 2 separate orders. We use 1 every 3+ weeks in the wintertime here.

For the Bemis (old name) and Essick console humidifiers. Really puts a lot of moisture in the air when the wick isn't stopped up with dust or calcium deposits caused by water evaporation. Can be visually inspected from the outside of the unit.
