Ok, it's a funnel that attaches to a safety can. It works like a funnel. Not much else to say. For some reason, though Eagle changed the design relative to older can funnels I have. This funnel has a tab at the rear that engages with flap closure mechanism on the safety can. This means you can't twist the funnel around to remove/replace it on the safety can. It's a bit harder to remove and replace than the old funnels you can twist around. Maybe it has some safety advantage, I don't know. Just an FYI, you have to remove the funnel to fill the safety can. Overall, though, it makes pouring gas out of the safety can much easier and less likely to spill. If you don't use safety cans to store you mower, etc fuel, you should. They really are safer.

I bought this funnel for use with a non-Eagle generic plastic gas can. It's the right size to push into the gas tank on a Toyota Camry and hold the valve at the entrance of the gas tank open, and it works well and was relatively inexpensive.

Don't Use Your Safety Can Without It!Apr 30, 2012

For some reason I paid $30 for a metal safety gas can but was too cheap to buy a $5 funnel (if you don't have a safety can...buy one. Does not bloat...does not smell). You will waste that in gas if you try to pour from a safety can without a funnel. Why is this funnel a must over a $.99 box store funnel? It fits on the can spout like a glove, you can still close the lid with the funnel on so you don't have to remove it, it is always with the can so you don't have to look for it, and you don't have to try to hold the funnel and pour gas from a heavy full can at the same time.

I keep it on the can at all times and simply put a shop rag over it to keep the dust off. Buy it. You will not regret it.

I purchased two of the Eagle cans, one for my son and one for me, not realizing that they would leak terribly without this funnel. In fact, I did not know that this funnel was available for them, it would be nice if Eagle added a couple of bucks to the can and included the funnel. No matter what method I used to pour, that short spout dribbled gas all over the place. I had stopped using mine and tossed it into the a corner in my barn and unfortunately my son sent his to the recycle bin due the mess it made. After contacting Eagle regarding the problem, they suggested this funnel. As I said, I did not realize they were available. My other Eagle cans all came with a long spout and this model did not. Lesson learned, the funnel is an absolute necessity if you own the Eagle gas can.
