I ordered this particular basin wrench because it was the cheapest one I could find (since I will most likely only be using it one time...). I bought it to replace the faucet for my kitchen sink, a task that would have been impossible without this basin wrench. While it worked in helping me reach past all the other stuff under my sink (garbage disposal, dishwasher hoses, etc.), there were some problems, too.

First, I'm not sure if this is the case with all basin wrenches, but this one doesn't actually grip the nut/bolt things very well. You have to futz around with it for a bit to get it to reliably "clamp" onto them to turn, which is problematic in a dark, wet, upside-down environment. However, once you get the hang of it, you can manage enough to unscrew the old faucet, with the exception that because of the wrench-head's clumsiness, I was unable to properly latch it onto the smaller hose connecting the spray nozzle to the faucet, and still had to rely on using a regular pair of pliers, which barely fit up into the works of the sink and is the reason I had to order this tool in the first place...

It got the job done for a reasonable price, but I had to fight with the tool to get it to work properly. Still cheaper than hiring a plumber. Oh, and I got the 10 inch handle, which was a fine length. I see others on here that are between 11" and 13", but I'm not sure how much more helpful they would be.

I purchased one of these to replace my old kitchen faucet only to find I didn't really need it.
When I started on this project I noticed that the fittings that connect the faucet are in a very tight space so I wasn't sure the tool head would fit and still have room to turn, plus they are so high up and so confined that it's almost impossible to get any light into the space. After 15 minutes of trying to work blindly and in a terribly uncomfortable position, I noticed six little braces around the underneath edges of the sink. That's when I realized that I could easily loosen the screws, move the braces and lift the sink straight up out of the opening, which made it very easy to unscrew the fittings and remove the old faucet with just a pair of pliers! I had the old faucet out and the new faucet and sprayer installed within 15 minutes. Re-installing the sink was just as easy as removing it. So my advice would be to check under your sink and look for little tabs or brackets around the edges. If you have those brackets and flexible water lines, it will be a breeze to change out your faucet without any special tools.
