2Poor assembly and finishJun 25, 2007

This watering can arrived today, Monday, with 4 extra days of delay because UPS does nothing on weekends. If it had been sent via FedEx, the shipping charges would have been less, and I would have received the watering can last Wednesday or Thursday.

The can arrived with large dents in five different places that were not caused by shipping, but rather, it seems, it came out of the factory in that condition.

The galvanized coating was very poorly applied. The threads on the spout are filled so unevenly with the galvanized coating that the sprinkler head can't be screwed on so that the can won't leak below that sprinkler head. There are several places on the can where it has no galvanized coating.

In taking the plastic wrapped sprinkler head out of the inside of the can I sliced two fingers and the back of my hand on jagged slivers of tin coating that were sticking out around the rim. There were 12-15 other slivers of that coating on the can and handle that had to be sanded down so that my wife wouldn't cut or slice her hands when using it.

In general, the assembly and finish are really poor, and I personally would not have paid more than $5.00 to $6.00, with tax, for this item, minus the slivers, in a retail store.

This sub-standard item seems to have been manufactured in China or India, or was an American factory "seconds" or reject. I do not see how this product could have possibly passed even a cursory inspection.

I sent an e-mail to the company that I purchased this from the day I received it asking them how I could return this damaged and poorly made item. After two further e-mails to them, and four weeks time has passed, I still have not received a reply.

I find the Behrens 210 10 quart watering Can to be of poor quality, It had a large hole in the water spout that when you used it, It leaked all over the place, I expected better then this from this Company.. I was disappointed....

I read the previous reviews on this watering can and thought I was getting a winner. When it arrived the first thing I noticed was the sharp corners on the handle--very poorly designed and uncomfortable to use without gloves. It also leaks from the seam that connects the spout to the can when I tip it to water my plants. If I had bought this at the local hardware store I would have taken it back immediately. Made in Mexico. Very disappointing.

Yes, it's a simple sprinkling can, but it works like the timeless classic it is. The only way to appreciate this model is to have owned a plastic type that they sell at the big home centers these days. They leak and dribble at the nozzle like an 85 year old man, and don't spray right. This one does!

Very disappointed in this can. Like other have said: "poor finish" and "poor quality". It feels sturdy but looks crappy. Has sharp edges at the top and bottom of the handle. Poors rather slowly with a wide spread. This may just be my personal taste as I water a LOT of plants and don't have time for this thing to drizzle out a few gallons. Won't know for a while if their claims of "rustproof" and "durable" are true. Will keep looking for a better can.
