I bought many, many feet of this stuff 2 years ago to use as edging around my gardens and trees. At first I thought it was pretty great and made everything look so tidy. But after a couple of mowings, the edging was full of clippings. Even when I cleaned the clippings out, the edging got very dirty very quickly. I even put plastic sheeting underneath it to keep weeds from popping up, and though that worked ok, weeds and grasses had no problem what so ever sending roots down through the material. If I tried to pull the weeds out, they pulled up the edging more often than not. After 2 years, I gave it up as a bad idea and pulled it all out. This stuff is pretty expensive and all the money I spent on it was completely wasted. I also bought a recycled rubber tree ring for a new tree, same results. Don't buy this stuff....you're better off using some kind of solid edging and lining it with plastic, which I have since done to all the edges that used have the rubber border.
