4Nothing else would workNov 25, 2008
By D. Harris
This is a great tool... however, I have alot of experience in the remodeling business and would not recommend this tool to an inexperienced operator. It has alot of torque and wanted to kick back during most of the work. I also would recommend not using this tool any place except on floors or baseboards as it would be very hard to control if you didn't have something solid to rest it against. Great price.... Fast shipping.... Amazon came through for me again!!

5Rotozip flush attachmentJan 09, 2009
By Andre Ricaud
Works as advertised. It comes with a flush wood cutting blade. I had to buy a flush masonry blade for my purpose. I used it to trim a drain that stuck out above the concrete. It worked fine.
Neither the attachment nor the Rotozip's instructions indicated that the attachment had to be pushed down flush with the Rotozip's body but I figured it out anyway. Overall works great.

2works ok, expected better, cover is worthlessJul 30, 2008
By Stewart Benedict "dog lover"
Got this item for a specific project (cutting away old siding between an addition and the living room in preparation for opening the wall). Works fine if you're down on the floor like the picture shows. Overhead it is very difficult to control. The snap-on cover is worthless, comes off while you're working or gets deflected and melted by the blade. Whole tool seemed to get much hotter than it should using this attachment.

5Well thought out and designed attachment.May 23, 2009
By John Schaben
Used the thing last week to cut some siding and sheathing from around a window frame that needed rebuilt. About the only other tool I can think of that may have done the job better would be a $400 multimaster.
I especially liked the way you can reorient the series of attachments to get get the most advantageous angle on your work. I also appreciate the adjustable depth-of-cut.
I've never owned a rotozip before but I knew I had this job coming up so I got the Rz20 kit and purchased this attachment locally. The whole shebang all gathered together is a little intimidating but if you take a little time to go through the manual and try to understand how each item fits and plays together it is really pretty simple.
I did read one review where the reviewer thought it was cheaply made because the cover kept falling off. It will fall off if its not properly installed. It uses two hooks about midway up the blade that MUST be engaged and then the cover must be slid up to engage the release tab. You have to be able to hear/feel it snap into place and it can take some effort the first few times. First time I put mine on I used a rubber mallet to get it up there. Matter of fact, the whole system uses interlocks or clamps or both to hold things in place.
All-in-all I am very satisfied with the tool and impressed with the insight that went into the design.

4One time jobMar 29, 2010
By G. Jennings "75 Spring Times"
Item is great for base board cutting as you can control the depth of your cut. I cut through 1/2 inch softwood and could only cut 15ft before blade overheated my tool (almost too hot to hold). If you have alot of this size to cut it would be easier to remove the trim for sure!

Drywall or thin trim would be the perfect time saving item.

You can only adjust the height by placing a piece of material the correct thickness under the tool while you cut.
(it would have been easy to design this into the tool)

When cutting, the tool can be dangerous and highly advise no-one to be within 3ft of the operator as some kickback occur and it can get away from the operator if not firmly in control.

*works good with thee right materials. expect overheating
